Something about sauna
Use the sauna, live longer!
Sauna enables overall sweating in hot and dry air with subsequent cooling down
by air and water. The main part of the sauna is represented by the room for
sweating equipped with a heat generating appliance. The second inevitability of
the sauna is the cooling area, in our case it is a cold shower. Characteristic
for sauna itself is the hot-air environment with a very low humidity (The
average temperature around 90 °C and the relative humidity up to 15%).
The sauna has a multiple impact on the organism. Because of high temperatures
substantial promotion of blood circulation takes place. While sweating the pulse
accelerates and while cooling down it gets back to the normal again. Sauna
considerably regulates blood pressure Persons with higher values of blood
pressure have to be very careful when staying in sauna.
Effects of the sauna
- the body temperature increases by 1–2 °C
- Better promotion of blood circulation and overheating can improve mobility
of muscles or reduce pain in joints.
- It supports sweating as well as the activity of sebaceous glands –
thorough sweat washes away impurities from the skin and that is of a significant
cosmetic importance;
- It is also useful as prevention of various illnesses caused by cold –
sauna is one of the most general hardening procedures.
Advantages of visiting sauna
- The body gets rid of waste substances;
- Use of the sauna provides good promotion of brain and limb blood circulation
and narrows blood vessels that become more flexible thanks to that;
- Use of the sauna following a great strain eliminates fatigue;
